Barrack Obama - no torture
Obama: 'I believe waterboarding was torture - it was a mistake' An admirable statement indeed. True one does not have to become an animal, when one can use the powerful human ability of intelligence to find information that one needs. But then, that will happen only when we humans believe that we are intelligent and did not evolve from some ape.
Although I am happy that Obama thinks like this, I am frustrated with the duplicity of the man. While torture is unacceptable, the torturous killing of an unborn baby is acceptable - just because it makes the life of a few adults uncomfortable? Hey, who gave anyone the right to determine whether an unborn baby should live or die - when none of them - even the parents (and certainly not Obama) had control over the conception? When you do not have control over the conception how dare you assume the right to declare the baby non-living and give yourself the freedom to treat the baby like some cancer? So this kind of thinking does not make 'abortion' (the snuffing of the life of a helpless human being) torture, but the waterboarding of a criminal/terrorist is 'torture' and a 'mistake'. If the latter is 'torture' so is the 'former'. Man... learn to call a spade a spade at all times and not just when it is convenient for you.
So its laughable that you should expect people to hear you when you say that 'torture is a mistake'. They will not because your other actions (pro-choice ones) make your words seem hollow and totally void of any integrity. You can be sure that even after this statement, the establishment will continue to use torture as a means to extract information and beat the non-conformist to subjugation. So do not be deluded into thinking that your law enforcers will suddenly develop a conscience and become gentlemanly.
If you want them to be gentlemanly, begin with denouncing 'abortion' and see if your works (not words) will not bear fruit.
